Minimum Annual Leave Entitlement

The first stage increase in the statutory minimum holiday under the Working Time (Amendment) Regulations 2007 is to be implemented from 1st October 2007. The statutory minimum annual leave entitlement rises from four weeks (20 days) to 4.8 weeks (24 days). |

I am delighted to be able to inform you that your annual leave entitlement increases to 24 days from 1 October 2007 and there is a further increase to 28 days from 1 April 2009. The increase is pro rated for the current leave year and you are then entitled to 24 days' annual leave for the new leave year beginning on 1 April 2008.
Your holiday entitlement set out above is inclusive of any time off for bank holidays.
I will contact you again in [March 2009] to remind you of the increase in your annual leave entitlement for the leave year running from 1 April 2009 to 31 March 2010.] |
