Hillingdon Association of Voluntary Services (HAVS)
HAVS is an independent voluntary organisation formed and run by local charities, voluntary and community groups.
We aim to:
- promote the development and support of the voluntary & community sector in the London Borough of Hillingdon;
- support and develop links between statutory and voluntary/community sectors;
- act as a focal point and provide a forum for the voluntary/community sector.
Our vision is:
A vibrant, empowered sustainable and developing voluntary and community sector.
Affiliations
NACVS is the national association of Councils for Voluntary Service (CVS). The network of over 280 CVS spans both urban and rural areas of England. They promote effective local voluntary and community action by providing CVS with a range of support services. www.nacvs.org.uk.
LVSC strengthens London’s voluntary organisations by providing services and a strong voice on policy issues that affect Londoners. www.lvsc.org.uk
NAVB is a democratic membership organisation with local Volunteer Centre branches. The centres offer advice and information to would-be volunteers and good practice advice to volunteer-involving agencies. www.navb.org.uk
